Fighting Food Insecurity
Introduction:
It is dedicated to addressing food insecurity and providing supplemental food assistance to the hungry in Mercer County. CFWMC is able to purchase reasonably priced food supplies through forming connections with local grocers, merchants, and food producers. These products are then sent to member organizations, which in turn support thousands of people who are struggling financially. The goals of their programs and activities are to increase community awareness of the issue of hunger and to reduce the number of people who lack access to wholesome meals.

- Additional Programs: CFWMC supports various programs catering to specific populations, such as MilitaryShare, serving veterans; the Backpack Program, providing food for school children; and Harvest Helpings, focusing on low-income families in rural areas. These initiatives target vulnerable populations and contribute to reducing food insecurity in Mercer County.
