Arnold Foodbank is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist those in need in the community. Since its founding in 2012, it has been providing sustenance to those in need in the Arnold area. In 2020, the organization provided 2,397 three-day food supplies to individuals experiencing financial hardship. This demonstrates the substantial impact the Arnold Foodbank has had on the surrounding community.

One of the primary goals of the Arnold Foodbank is to provide for those in need regardless of their dietary preferences. The organization provides cuisine for a variety of diets, including Halal and gluten-free. This ensures that the local community is well cared for during times of crisis.

The Arnold Foodbank is supported by nonperishable food donations from schools, churches, businesses, and individuals. Volunteers play a vital role in the foodbank’s operations by sorting food, ensuring its freshness, and packaging it into cartons for distribution to those in need. This is a wonderful opportunity for community members to contribute to the well-being of their neighbors.

The Arnold Foodbank is part of the nationwide Trussell Trust network of foodbanks. As a result, it operates within a structured framework that enables it to offer services consistent with those of other foodbanks in the network. The Trussell Trust provides guidance and support to the Arnold Foodbank, ensuring that the organization operates effectively and provides the finest community services possible.

Doctors, health visitors, social workers, and police officers identify individuals in need of foodbank services. The foodbank collaborates closely with local churches and community organizations to distribute food supplies. This ensures that the food bank reaches the greatest number of individuals in need.

In 2021, the Arnold Foodbank distributed 1,464 packages, demonstrating its ongoing efforts to assist those in need in the community. With the sustained support of volunteers, donors, and the broader community, the Arnold Foodbank can continue to assist those in greatest need.
