West Mercia Women’s Aid Support for Men

West Mercian residents who are victims of domestic abuse may seek assistance through West Mercia Women’s Help. Males in Herefordshire and Worcestershire are provided with particular services and support, despite the organization’s primary focus on women. The organization’s Independent Domestic Violence Advisers (IDVAs) give advise and aid to male victims of domestic abuse across West Mercia, including in local hospitals.

In addition to physical violence, additional expressions of domestic abuse include the use of fear, manipulation, isolation, and intimidation. IDVAs are the organization’s specialized’safety workers,’ guiding victims of domestic abuse through the criminal and civil justice systems.
